Open House and Farm Tour at Innisfree Farm
As part of the Comox Valley 30-Day Local Food Challenge you are invited to explore almost 7 acres of themed gardens featuring over 30 different types of culinary herbs, an orchard of 50 fruit and nut trees, a perfume garden, an apothecary (medicine) garden, rare and exotic trees and an acre of organic vegetables. There is also a large pond, a planted labyrinth and a flock of heritage breed hens.

The mission of our farm is to introduce people to the pleasures of eating local, fresh, seasonal foods, grown without pesticides and herbicides, as well as to the healing powers of plants. The 30-Day Local Food Challenge is a great way to connect people to the sources of their foods.

Innisfree Farm is located near the Trent River gorge in Royston. It is a destination farm with a market stand open 10 am – 4 pm on Saturdays offering a variety of produce, flowers, and herbal teas. The farm is host to “Gardens without Borders”, a not for profit organization dedicated to Horticulture Therapy (HT) and providing healing environments through plants and gardening. The farm offers workshops and classes on botanical medicine and organic gardening. There is an internship program for apprentices and volunteers wanting to learn organic gardening, horticulture therapy and medical herbalism.
Location: 3636 Trent Road in Royston
